Maintenance is particularly attractive because the economics are compelling.
Unexpected vehicle downtime costs fleets money. Unnecessary maintenance costs fleets money. Late maintenance can create safety and compliance problems.
Predictive maintenance could become one of the most commercially valuable applications of fleet AI.
THE OPPORTUNITY
It is using connected-vehicle data to determine what needs repairing, when it should be repaired, how urgent it is, where the work should happen - and eventually whether the system can arrange it automatically.
