Mercedes sends an electric truck around the world

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has started an ambitious global demonstration.

An eActros 600 departed Hannover on 20 September for a planned 45,000 kilometre journey through around 30 countries across five continents.

The target is to complete the journey with fewer than 80 charging stops.

The expedition is intended to demonstrate the capabilities of battery electric long haul transport while also identifying infrastructure challenges.
