FleetPartners approaches A$1 billion

The takeover contest for FleetPartners has intensified, with proposals valuing the Australian fleet business at up to approximately A$982 million.

The takeover battle for Australia's FleetPartners has intensified again.

SG Fleet, ORIX and the Sumitomo led consortium have all increased their proposals.

ORIX and Sumitomo have offered A$4.65 per share, valuing FleetPartners at as much as approximately A$982 million.

SG Fleet increased its proposal to A$4.55.

Element Fleet has withdrawn from the bidding process.

When we covered FleetPartners in Issue 1, the Sumitomo proposal valued the business at approximately A$813 million.

Three weeks later the potential valuation is approaching A$1 billion.
